"Even the most popular and attractive people at school have secret flaws."

“Even the most popular and attractive people at school have secret flaws.” To me this quote goes back to the saying that, “nobody is perfect.” I have learned to accept that nobody is perfect. Everyone has a secret flaw that you might not see in them, but in their own eyes they could be disgusted with themselves. If someone were to see a person who has “perfect” hair, skin, and clothes, someone might see this person as “perfect”. What some person may not know about this person is that they worked themselves to the core working for the money in order to buy their clothes. Maybe the “perfect” person gets up extra early each morning in order to do their makeup and hair. In high school today there are always stories that you hear about, where the most popular, enthusiastic girls and boys struggle with depression. This just shows that you never know a person just by what you see on the outside, you can only understand everything they go through if you live through their eyes.
In Catcher in the Rye, Holden describes his roommate Stradlater as handsome, self-satisfied, and popular. Later in the story though, we learn that Stradlater is in fact NOT “perfect” but a secret slob. Stradlater appears like the perfect person, but Holden states that his toiletries very unclean. At one point Holden points out the rust, old shaving cream, and hair that is left in the razor. I don’t know about you but to me that sounds pretty discussing!
I would agree with the fact that “even the most popular and attractive people at school have secret flaws.” Unless you live in their skin you never know all the experiences someone goes through in a day. Even when you fail you have to remember that nobody is perfect and to fail is absolutely normal.
