Personally, I agree with the topic of “someone being very intelligent even if he or she flunks out of three schools”. One does not necessarily have to be “book smart” in order to be intellectual. One can be “street smart” by having a lot of common sense and being familiar with almost everything that goes on in the world. Furthermore, they know and understand all types of people. I agree with this topic because I know plenty of people who do not do as well as most students in school. However, they are still bright, clever people who know a lot. Also, if you were to talk to them, you could still hold a rational and interesting conversion with them.

Albert Einstein was a man who did not speak until he was four years old and didn’t read until he was seven. His parents and teachers thought he was mentally slow; therefore, he was expelled from school. However, as time progressed he became one of the most intelligent people in history. Many people thought that Thomas Edison was also “too stupid to learn anything”, and yet he became the successful, well-known creator of the light bulb. These stories have many things in common. One of which is how people thought that just because Einstein and Edison could not do the work in school, they were dumb and couldn’t be taught and ultimately flunked and were expelled. Although not everyone can be like Einstein and Edison, it is not right to label everyone who does poorly in school as unintelligent. Most of those people could surprise the world one day and flourish into a successful person.

Not everyone is or has to be smart, and not everyone can be smart. However, most of the time it depends on whether or not the person is able to be smart. There is a sufficient amount of people who really are smart, and yet they purposely act dumb. They make themselves look uneducated by either using a poor vocabulary or by acting inappropriately. This goes along with how one might not be doing well in school but can still be a genius. No one needs to be absolutely perfect in everything. After all, the brightest people have come from those labeled as the dumbest.
