Many people like to say that you are either competitive or not. I disagree with that ideology, I believe that if you are competing in an area where you succeed then I think that you enjoy the competition. There would be no reason for you to not enjoy it because there is a better chance that you are going to win than lose therefore making the competition fun for you. Yet a lot of times people have a hard time finding an area where they always excel and then they sometimes stop enjoying the activity and eventually the whole competition. That, I personally believe, is when people say they don’t like competition; it is when they just don’t feel like they ever win. The competition part becomes frustrating and depressing making you not want to continue with that certain activity.
I know what that is like, having gone through many sports and it becomes hard to continue being positive. When that happens, people tend to say they aren’t competitive but really they just don’t like competition I believe. To really ravish competition you have to continue to push yourself and try to move forward. In a sport like soccer there are a lot of different moves and plays to become better, but if you don’t practice and try new things you fall behind. I fell behind and slowly became worse and worse, playing wasn’t fun and it became more of a chore. When something like this occurs it’s not just that you don’t like the sport, but the actual competition because hard and frustrating. Even in something like music this sometimes happens. When you fall behind your competition still moves forward and you sometimes become jealous of the other people who are better, which is never fun. So if you are succeeding in an area, then the competition part is always enjoyable because it lets you show off and prove how good you really are at that activity whether it’s a sport or a hobby.
