Parents who are successful expect too much of their kids in school

Parents who are really sucessful throughout their life expect as much if not more from their children in school.Therefore, I agree with the statement"Parents who are really sucessful expect too much of their children in school." Parents have a natural tendency to want their kids to have the best if not the same amount of sucess as them.Due to their natural tendency for their children, they contemplate that into sucess by wanting their children to be as sucessful as them. Therefore, parents subconciously expect too much from their children . I can directly relate this to my personal life because in my situation too my parents's expectations from me are very high and over pressuring. Although my dad has majored in electrical engineering and my mom has majored in E-Commerce, my parents expect me to pursue a career or major above or at their sucess standards that they have gained.I completely understand form my parent's point of view that they only want the best for me that is why they are expecting so much out of me. But, they don't understand how much pressure they exert on me while expecting so much. This directly relates to the fact that parents who are sucessful do expect too much out of their children because understandably they think that since we are so sucessful , our children should be the same.Therefore, they subconsciously expect too much.Sometimes even I am forced to wonder that if my parents didn't put so much pressure on me wouldn't it be more beneficial to the way i sustain their expectations? But, I also realize that it is absoloutely natural for them to have their high expectations due to their own sucess in their life. Lastly, I agree "Parents who are sucessful expect too much of their children in school" because this tendency by parents is really hidden in a form of love and care.
